Julian Mark Amkraut was born on January 8, 1996 in New Brunswick, NJ on day in which the the weather delivered what would be recognized as the storm of the decade.  The immense and rapid snowfall caused the shutting of the highways of Central Jersey (a result of the declared state of emergency)  as well as the midwifery practice of FamilyBorn in Princeton, NJ where Julian was supposed to enter the world amid candles, incense and relaxing music.  So much for well laid plans.  Nevertheless, Julian was born that day, the first grandchild of Ruth and Julian S. Amkraut (as of July 2011, he was the first of 15!)
